Week 5 - my final days at the iF Award internship
For my final two days at the internship, I did some more testing of the app to make sure that the new version was running smoothly. I had great conversation with the software developer, it’s really been a valuable experience getting to know him and getting insight in how to develop an app.
I did some administrative tasks related to marketing of the app, and also helped the videographer which has helped me understand more and more about branding and how conscious you need to be about what choices you make.
On my last day I finished up some tasks I have been working on and the founder Stacie took me out to lunch which was a great ending to this internship! It has been a good experience and I have learned a lot, I particularly have appreciated being involved in the app development and also the variety of tasks around the gallery has helped me gain some experience that I didn’t have before. I’m really happy for the insight I have got now in the art world and what it’s like to really work in a team in reality!
I hope that the gallery thrives and FairArtFair will reach its full potential! I am looking forward to seeing how it evolves.
I’d like to thank everyone that I have met during this internship, and that has taken the time to educate me about their profession and given me advice on my career. I really can’t say enough that it’s something I appreciate so much.
I’m looking forward to seeing what is in store for me next, and primarily preparing right now for my participation in an exhibition for London Design Festival. Exciting times to come!
